GlazeScout Terms and Conditions

1. Operator and Acceptance
GlazeScout is operated by YB Creatives, LLC ("GlazeScout," "we," "us," or "our") at [WEBSITE URL]. These Terms govern access to the website and its glaze discovery and comparison features.
By accepting these Terms during registration or checkout, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information; acceptance of these Terms does not replace any separate privacy consent required by law.

2. What GlazeScout Provides
GlazeScout is an independent discovery tool for commercial pottery glazes intended for cone 5 and cone 6 firings. It provides searchable product listings and, for eligible entries, estimated color comparisons based on photographs of fired swatches.
Coverage varies by manufacturer and product line. Some entries lack usable photographs or verified firing information and are not eligible for color ranking. The catalog is a snapshot; we do not guarantee that it contains every glaze, reflects every manufacturer change, or reports current inventory, pricing, or availability.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
If an account is required, provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Do not create duplicate accounts to evade trial limits or share access contrary to the license described below.
4. Three-Day Trial
GlazeScout offers a 3-day trial. The trial begins upon registration and ends Three days after registration. Trial eligibility is deemed as one trial per person.
The features included during the trial are full and complete access.
Automatic One-Time Charge After the Trial
When you start the trial, you authorize a single charge of $39.95 USD to your selected payment method , unless you cancel before the 3-day trial period ends. This is a one-time purchase and does not create recurring charges.

The trial end time, charge amount, and cancellation instructions must be clearly presented before you authorize the charge. You will receive a reminder email one day before your trial ends. Starting a trial requires your authorization of the future one-time charge through our checkout process.
5. Yearly Renewal Purchase and Scope of Access
Continued access costs $39.95 USD as a yearly renewal payment, with no recurring monthly subscription fee for the purchased access.
No applicable taxes will be charged. The final payable amount is shown before you authorize payment. Payments are processed through the checkout system used on our website, powered by Stripe.
Your purchase includes access to Glaze Scout's glaze finder comparison program and all updates related to commercial glaze company glaze updates. This is a one-time lifetime access charge and will not be charged again.
Any separately priced future offering requires a separate purchase authorization. Price changes for future purchases do not create additional charges for your existing purchase.
6. Refunds and Billing Questions
We do not offer refunds for the service provided as reminder emails will be sent one day prior to trial expiration.
Contact cancellations@glazescout.com with your transaction reference and a description of the issue. Do not send full payment card details.
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
7. Color Candidates Are Not Guaranteed Substitutes
GlazeScout's comparisons estimate color differences in photographs. They do not establish chemical equivalence or guarantee that a candidate will produce the same fired result as your starting glaze.
Results vary with clay body, application thickness, firing cone, atmosphere, kiln conditions, and cooling schedule. A photographed swatch may have been fired under different conditions from those you intend to use.
Color matching does not reliably compare sheen, texture, opacity, movement, crystallization, glaze fit, durability, or functional performance. Clear and highly variable glazes may be unsuitable for single-color ranking.
Review current manufacturer instructions and fire test tiles using your own materials and firing schedule before committing a glaze to finished work.
8. Functional and Food-Use Suitability
GlazeScout does not test finished ware or certify glazes or pottery as food safe, dishwasher safe, microwave safe, chemically durable, or suitable for a particular purpose.
A color suggestion does not establish suitability for food-contact surfaces. Follow manufacturer guidance and obtain appropriate evaluation or testing for the intended use of your finished ware.
9. Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms and any applicable payment requirement, you may use GlazeScout for your own pottery research and studio work, including research for pottery you sell.
Your access is limited to your membership after trial expiration.
You may not bypass access controls, interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, fraudulently obtain trials, resell unauthorized access, or reproduce and redistribute the catalog or website content without permission where permission is required by law. These restrictions do not prohibit uses protected by applicable law.
10. Intellectual Property and Manufacturer Content
GlazeScout's original software, branding, and content are owned by YB Creatives, LLC or its licensors, subject to any applicable open-source licenses.
Manufacturer names, product names, trademarks, and swatch photographs belong to their respective owners. Their inclusion identifies products and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation. These Terms do not grant rights that GlazeScout does not hold.
GlazeScout is not an authorized representative of any manufacturer unless expressly stated.
11. External Links
The website links to manufacturer and other external pages. Those sites have their own terms, privacy policies, products, and availability. GlazeScout does not control their content or transactions. Purchases made on external sites are handled by the relevant seller.
12. Availability, Updates, and Account Restrictions
The service may experience maintenance, outages, image-loading failures, or changes in external product information. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or an automatic schedule for catalog updates.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address security incidents, unlawful activity, fraud, or material violations of these Terms. Where practical and lawful, we will notify you and allow you to address the issue. Restrictions do not remove non-waivable consumer rights.
13. Warranties and Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the discovery tool and photo-based comparisons are provided as available, without a guarantee of exact color, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free catalog information.
To the extent permitted by law, GlazeScout is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from reliance on unverified color candidates, including failed glaze tests, lost production, or lost profits. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including any mandatory consumer protections.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Tennessee, subject to any mandatory protections applicable where you reside.
Contact hello@glazescout.com to discuss a concern. Doing so does not prevent you from exercising legal rights or meeting a filing deadline.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and identify the revised effective date. We will provide notice and seek renewed acceptance when required by law or appropriate for a material change. Changes will not retroactively add charges or remove access rights already purchased without a lawful basis and any required agreement.
